Our Story

Built for the way people work now.

Prodec was founded to solve one problem every modern workplace runs into: noise, distraction and nowhere private to go.

Open-plan offices and hybrid work brought constant interruptions, a shortage of meeting rooms and poor acoustic comfort. Building new rooms is slow, expensive and permanent. Prodec's answer was a modular one: engineered acoustic pods that arrive in sections, go up in hours and move when you do.

The company's roots are in acoustics, from acoustic engineering and interior construction to developing and making acoustic products. That experience shaped the booth you see on this site: an aluminum frame, a multi-layer honeycomb wall, sound-insulating glass and a ventilation system tuned to stay quiet.

History

From acoustic engineering to a global booth maker.

Prodec grew out of hands-on acoustic work and now designs, builds and ships booths and pods from its own factory in Shunde, Foshan, in the heart of the Pearl River Delta's furniture and aluminum supply chain.

Sound Pods

Prodec's entry into North America.

Sound Pods is Prodec's subsidiary brand for the North American market. It brings the same factory-built booths to Canadian and American offices, schools, libraries and studios, with a local team to quote, deliver and support them.

In Canada, Sound Pods is represented by Biddy Enterprises Ltd in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
